It's been our goal to do a project that contains fundamental ideas, results, techniques, and applications of Matrix Theory accessible to general readers with an elementary background in linear algebra. Matrix theory is widely used in a variety of areas such as mathematics, computer science, business, economics, engineering, operation research, physics, chemistry, statics, and other fields. This book involves linear transformations based on matrices. Here we explain how matrix transformations are applied in Computer Graphics. This chapter deals with some basic 2D transformations such as move, flip, twist, scale, rotation, and concatenation of these transformations along with suitable graphical examples with theoretical explanations. We briefly explained the 3D basic transformations.
