The effects of television in Greater Katanga were very influential through foreign programmes. So the advent of Digital Terrestrial Television predicted a boom in telecommunications, even though local television programmes were becoming boring for viewers. In 2012, with DSTV, SOLAR... these package subscription TV channels were becoming firmly established in Lubumbashi, not only for the wealthy but even for the lower classes, even though they were in the minority. What we predicted in 2012 for our work at the end of the cycle was fulfilled in 2015 with the arrival of CANAL PLUS in Katanga, and today more than one house has bouquet television, even to the detriment of its economy...
