About the author










Carol Owens is an Irish psychoanalyst, clinical supervisor, and Lacanian scholar. She has lectured and published extensively on Freudian and Lacanian psychoanalysis, and has edited, co-edited, authored, and co-authored several volumes on Lacanian psychoanalysis as applied to the clinic, culture and society. Her most recent book is Psychoanalysis and the Small Screen ¿ The Year the Cinemas Closed (with Sarah Meehan O¿Callaghan, Routledge, 2024). She is the series editor for Studying Lacan¿s Seminars, the first dedicated series on Lacan¿s seminars. She is a member of APPI, APCS, and an affiliate member of CP-UK.
