Ohm, the yeti, is miserable. Unlike the rest of his yeti family, he detests the heights, cold temperatures and snow of Nepal. He wants hot food and warm breezes. He loves his family, but he needs something different. So, Ohm packs his yak and sets off to find a new place to live. He thought a new home would be easy to find, but when the journey becomes difficult, he must decide whether to continue searching or turn around and go back. YETI IN THE SERENGETI is an adventure story or self discovery and family love. It is a rhyming picture book for ages 4-8.

About the author

Nancy Derey Riley is a writer, illustrator, and competitive adult figure skater. After completing two college degrees in wildlife biology, she had a 32-year career as a wildlife biologist. She loves working with schools and private landowners to restore, improve, or create wildlife habitat. YETI IN THE SERENGETI is her third published picture book.After retiring, Nancy turned her focus to writing children's books. She loves bringing science and nature to life in her stories. She's an active member of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. When she isn't writing, drawing, or skating, she's exploring the land around her home in the foothills of northern Colorado.
