The support to the marketing of cashew nuts of the producers members of the network through the mechanism "Grouped Sale" is one of the main activities of FENAPAB. It should be noted that one of the problems of the cashew nut sector in Benin is the weak organisation of producers of this highly sought-after commodity around marketing. Before the official opening of the nut market, intermediaries invade villages and hamlets and buy the products at prices that are not very profitable for producers who, faced with the need to satisfy urgent financial requirements, are obliged to sell their products despite the low prices offered. This considerably reduces their monetary income to the benefit of the intermediaries/collectors. Today, in order for the marketing of raw nuts to be more profitable for all the actors involved, it must be carried out in a transparent and equitable manner, which could find its source in the group sale mechanism.
