This course is particularly intended for biology students (3rd year undergraduate in ecology and environment), as well as undergraduate and graduate chemistry students (undergraduate and master in environmental chemistry) who want to get a basic knowledge in the field of environmental analytical chemistry. This handout is the result of reading numerous books, most of which are cited in the bibliographic reference list. It is in accordance with the program approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The objective of this course is to familiarize students with the various environmental analyses (physico-chemical and biological) used to assess and monitor the quality of the environment. This module also gives students an overview of the main Algerian legislation (laws, decrees, orders ..) relating to the protection and preservation of different compartments of the environment.

LAALA Ahmed, Doctor in Plant Ecology of the University of Brothers Mentouri Constantine. Lecturer at the University Center Abdelhafid Boussouf Mila (Algeria). His work focuses on the vulnerability of forests in eastern Algeria to thermal variability, climate interpolation, GIS and remote sensing.
