The objective of the study was to evaluate the chemical profile and larvicidal activity of essential oil (EO) and nanoemulsions oil-em-water (O/A) of the leaves of Eucalyptus globulus Labil and Ocimum africanum Lour. A significant total phenolic count correlated to an efficient antioxidant activity was found. The essential oils did not show high toxicity in our toxicity tests. We observed larvicidal action of the EO of E. globulus and O. africanum where LC50 of 26.58 mg L-1 and LC50 of 35.89 mg L-1, respectively, and their nanoemulsions with LC50 of 12.01 mg L-1 and 14.75 mg L-1 were found. Through the results obtained, larvicidal and enhanced action of the nanoemulsions was proved in the tests carried out. Finally, this study shows an efficient larvicidal activity against Aedes aegypti larvae, being encouraged its application in areas of arbovirus vector control.
