The City of Kisangani in the Democratic Republic of Congo has experienced an upsurge in road traffic accidents since 2012. Statistics have revealed that during this period, accidents on the road sections have taken a worrying proportion. It is in this context that we conducted our research, which proposes a diagnosis of the factors that are at the root of this reversal. It also attempts to analyze the consequences that have resulted from this tragedy. In addition, from a legal point of view, this study tries to evaluate the level of care given to the victims of these accidents by the competent state authorities established in the city of Kisangani. Finally, some possible solutions are given in order to allow, on the one hand, to effectively prevent traffic accidents in this city and, on the other hand, to ensure the care of the victims in accordance with the legal texts.
