The technique proposed in this book for determining robust points of interest to the variation of illumination aims to reduce the time required for the correspondence between images in high definition. The research also indicates a methodology in the format of a conceptual framework, which, based on the theory of situated learning, correlates the educational and technological aspects proper to the context of the development of mobile AR applications. Based on the experiments carried out, it is possible to observe that the technique that uses the robust points represents savings of approximately 70% in the time required for the correspondence between high-definition images.
