Determinants of the duration of exclusive breastfeeding - Case of Burkina Faso

This study on the determinants of the duration of exclusive breastfeeding is part of our final thesis. It is based on the coexistence of a high prevalence of malnutrition, poverty and non-compliance with infant and young child feeding standards. It aims to research the causes of early initiation of infants to other foods in order to propose ways to promote the exclusive use of breast milk for infant feeding during the first months of life.

Idrissa Ouattara ist ein junger Mann aus Burkina Faso mit einem Masterabschluss in Demografie vom IFORD(2016). Er arbeitet als Studienbeauftragter am Institut National de la Statistique et de la Démographie (Nationales Institut für Statistik und Demografie). Seine Tätigkeit konzentriert sich vor allem auf die Sammlung, Verarbeitung und Analyse von Daten im Zusammenhang mit Fragen der Bevölkerung und Entwicklung.
