About the author

Tiffany Pressler, writer and author of Icy Hooves, grew up in a small town in California and spent her days horseback riding on her parents' ranch. She competed on horseback from childhood into early adulthood in the disciplines of barrel racing and team penning. Her little girls are following in her footsteps and have ponies of their own. Her oldest daughter dreamed of having a white pony she could have adventures on, and her dreams came true. She also takes English riding lessons and shows her magnificent pony named Guapo. Her youngest daughter helps take care of her pony Sugar. She brushes her and feeds her horse cookies. Sugar is Guapo's stablemate at the barn.Tiffany has a bachelor's degree in journalism from San Diego State University. Her love for writing and spending the last several years reading children's books to her own children has inspired her to write her own book. Tiffany has over a decade of writing experience for a local newspaper and co-wrote a screenplay. In addition, she worked for a city police department for 12 years as a civilian employee and wrote an article about the department called How to Join America's Finest that landed her a third-place award with the San Diego Press Club. Tiffany's love for horses inspired the story Icy Hooves. She hopes to capture the hearts of the young and old alike with real life experiences and a sprinkle of magic.
