About the author

This is Nancy's first attempt at a picture book for young children. She has written Total Fluff, a dog story for children and adults alike that was a finalist in the Eric Hoffer competition; and Swim Into Summer, a book for teenage girls. A cat aficionado, Nancy has had a pet cat named Kissy, a calico that was the mother to seven cats, two of them twin black and white cats. She helped her mother and sister find good homes to all seven cats. Nancy knows that in addition to being cuddly and cute to look at, cats are fierce hunters and mousers and love the outdoors and freedom. She incorporates fun and adventure realistically in the following work of fiction, Hairston's Harangues.
