Le travail portait sur le lien entre l'exposition des graines de tournesol aux rayons ultraviolets du soleil et l'altération oxydative de l'huile produite. Les normes utilisées étaient les valeurs d'acide et de peroxyde comparées au codex recommandé pour l'huile de tournesol comestible. La principale technique analytique utilisée a été la chromatographie gazeuse liquide (G.L.C.). Les acides gras standard utilisés pour construire le (G.L.C.).
