This book describes green synthesized silver nanoparticle's role in wound healing. Green synthesized silver nanoparticle is human safe, cost effective and stable chemical with numerous biomedical applications. The data showed in this book demonstrates silver nanoparticles from Catharanthus roseus (CAgNPs) and Azadirachta indica (AAgNPs) plant leaf extracts exhibited improved antibacterial, and wound healing properties. CAgNPs and AAgNPs treatment to wounds in BALB/c mice showed enhanced wound healing rates compared to untreated control groups. Very importantly, these green synthesized silver nanoparticles did not show any toxicity to mice. All these results suggest that Phyto-derived CAgNPs and AAgNPs could be viewed as potential therapeutic agents for treating wounds.
