Binary and ternary electrodes for the electro-oxidation of methanol and ethanol - A proposal for fuel cells

With the growing world concern about environmental issues and energy matrixes that guarantee the maintenance of sustainable development, studies have been made in the most diverse lines of research in search of the best conditions for the use and exploitation of the energy generated. Among the energy generating systems, fuel cells stand out, in which the best combination of catalysts that provide higher yield and less damage is still being sought. In view of this challenge, this book presents a proposal for ternary catalysts used in the electrochemical oxidation of methanol and ethanol in acid medium.
