Born in Versailles, France the son of an Army Corps of Engineers' officer with Spanish ancestry, Dr. Marc Aguilera experienced a broad and culturally diverse upbringing throughout Europe before settling in America with his own family. For Dr. Aguilera, the world was his classroom. From interning in Michelin starred hotels to studying business in Paris, leadership in America, his background shaped his outlook and allowed him to harness the skills needed to eventually be a department chair of culinary and hospitality management programs. He later continued as a leadership professional in higher education in an online university as a chair of the business division. Dr. Marc Aguilera is thrilled to see his personal family legacy and long leadership journey finally come to fruition. He currently resides in Indianapolis, IN. with his wife Maria. Together they raised two children - Pierre and Anne-Elise both in college at Indiana University, Bloomington. They have a one-of-a-kind fluffy Great Pyrénées puppy who loves the outdoors. He enjoys great food, reading the classics, contributing with scholarly publications/presentations as an educator in business, travelling, playing the guitar and tennis.
