Jocelyne, my sister, a simple, clear, concise book that can provide benefits if you take the time to assimilate it mentally. The author is Jocelyne's brother. Intimately linked, they had a spontaneous and reciprocal devotion for each other through the most upsetting moments of their lives. This story goes beyond the succession of facts that allow us to understand what the anecdote hides. It is not the story of an exemplary life nor of grandiose events, but of overwhelming emotions, bold decisions, very ordinary passages that take on an inordinate importance in my memory. These days of my life are already far away but they cling to my mind like a leech. I am looking for answers to unanswerable questions about my sister, the events of her life, the trials, the disillusions.

Odontoiatra di professione, Pierre M. Smith ha lasciato Haiti dopo aver completato gli studi universitari per stabilirsi in Canada. Dopo una specializzazione ospedaliera in odontoiatria, ha insegnato al college di Longueuil, in Quebec. Si è poi dedicato alla prevenzione e al trattamento delle infezioni orali a Montreal e a Miami.
