The municipalities are important in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. They are the place for the State to mobilize the actors of this implementation. The SDGs defined in the 2030 Agenda are an opportunity for local authorities to participate in the global development defined by supranational bodies in order to respond to the State's development challenges. The implementation of various policies and programs to achieve the SDGs has had mixed results on several fronts. Indeed, it is noticeable that the progress in achieving the targeted goals is not entirely satisfactory. This study assessed the extent of municipal involvement in the development of voluntary national contributions, the analysis of partnerships established by local governments to localize the SDGs and the means of their implementation.
