The new being that comes into the world possesses an inescapable genetic load that will condition him throughout his life, but it is the influence of his surrounding environment that will determine the adequate or inadequate development of this inherited potential.although some studies on childhood had already begun in previous centuries, it was at the beginning of the 20th century when the child became an important protagonist in family and social life.the curiosity of scientists increased day by day. Philosophers and pedagogues began to consider childhood as a valuable and decisive stage in itself; fundamental men such as Rousseau, Pestalozzi, Tiederman, opened the way for research into the complex and mysterious world of children. And there is a growing concern for care and attention throughout their childhood. Parents have been a constant reference as to their fundamental role in the development and education of their children, and a firm belief is emerging: in order to reach adulthood in a balanced way, both physically and mentally, it is very convenient to have lived a sufficiently balanced and happy childhood.
