This is a true story mostly based on the protagonist's real life during the Korean War. This story depicts his military feats achieved by his gallantry, inspiration, character, and humanitarianism acting as a reconnaissance party leader and later a company leader.

About the author

Born in S. Korea, the author, a witness of the Korean War served in the ROK Army 105 mm artillery. After the ceasefire, he returned to schooling. He holds a B.A. and M. A. in English literature. He immigrated to the U.S. and was naturalized to the U.S. He is the author of two other Korean novels.
