Neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS) is an acute idiosyncratic reaction. It is a life-threatening medical emergency. The incidence rate of NMS varies from 0.01% to 0.02% of patients on neuroleptic drugs. The pathophysiology of NMS remains poorly understood, especially when it is secondary to atypical antipsychotics (APA).Objective: To evaluate and describe Clozapine-induced NMS in patients hospitalized in psychiatry at Razi Hospital. This is a retrospective descriptive study that took place over a period of 6 years from January 2015 to November 2021, at Razi Hospital, La Manouba Patients on Clozapine, who presented with NMS during their hospitalizations, were included.APA-induced NMS is characterized by an atypical clinical presentation, a lower incidence and a better prognosis. No APA is without risk. The atypicality elements suggest the importance of strict monitoring and psychoeducation of the patient and his caregivers to the rules of taking his APA.
