Obesity, a chronic disease with a variety of manifestations, is considered a heterogeneous multifactorial pathology. Epidemiological studies have shown a significant increase in its prevalence, affecting subjects of different ages and gender. Complications, which used to be linked in an obligatory and unconditional way, have seen a dissociation of obesity in recent years with the appearance of the MHO phenotype. The authors have established different classifications based on criteria (anthropometric, biological and ultrasonographic) in order to separate the MHO phenotype from the metabolic diseased obese subjects. The aim of this study is to determine and phenotype the subjects metabolically free of the metabolic syndrome.Key words: obesity, MHO, metabolic syndrome.
