About the author










Swati Patra, Ph.D. in Psychology, is a Professor of Psychology in the School of Social Sciences, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi. She has earlier worked in National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). She is actively involved in teaching, research and training. Her specializations are counseling psychology, educational psychology, counseling and family therapy, distance education and human development and disadvantage. Her areas of research interests are counseling, mental health and well-being, emotional intelligence, positive psychology, mindfulness, parenting, and child and adolescent psychology. She is also a certified happiness coach and mindfulness trainer.
