This book aims to contribute to a more accurate understanding of how employees in a developing country perceive, evaluate, and in turn respond to corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities in both the public and private sectors. In addition to the various aspects found in the vast literature on CSR, this thesis seeks to analyze the potential role of CSR in addressing key challenges, such as corruption and emigration, that is highly debated and discussed in developing countries today. To this end, Chapter 1 introduces the reader to this research topic.
