This book is a story about two doves, Arno and Sophie, who leave their village Drumoig in Scotland because Arno finds it too cold in the winter. He wants to return to his home in the south of France where it is much warmer. The two doves plan their journey which takes them down to London, over to Paris, across the Alps and arriving at Villefranche-sur-Mer in the south of France.
Along the way, you learn a few French words and there are lots of pictures for you to colour with coloured pencils or paint.
Have fun making this your very own book.

About the author

Jennifer Laidlaw was born in Edinburgh and for most of her career has been writing and designing distance learning programmes for bankers and subsequently doctors and dentists. She has also co-authored three books on medical education. Education has played an important part in all her work and this small book is no exception. This is her first attempt at writing a book for children. She has thoroughly enjoyed the experience and she hopes the children will enjoy reading the story, colouring the pictures, and learning a few French words.
