The State is a form of political and legal organization of society and competent institutions in the formulation of public policy, supported by a legal framework, derived from the Constitution, and whose leading role is fundamental in the development of a Nation. In this context, it is necessary to reflect on the construction of the Ecuadorian constitutional state from the foundation of the constitutional rule of law, the social constitutional rule of law and the consecration of the rule of rights and justice, substantial changes in an ascending path towards justice, equality and social equity. By virtue of this, the objective of this research focuses on the analysis of the State, with attention to the constitutional sphere, through the review of the 20 Constitutions and doctrine, for the basic understanding of the legal system in the republican history of Ecuador, linked to the exercise of public administration, guarantees, rights and duties, reduction of inequalities and collective welfare of the country.
