The purpose of this work was to evaluate the impact of physical training on muscle reaction function in adolescents with intellectual disabilities (ID).The study was conducted on a cohort of twenty-four healthy male adolescents with mild ID were assigned to either an experimental (EG) or a control (CG) group. The experimental group followed a weekly physical training program for 8 weeks for 40 min every third day on alternate days. For each participant in both groups, a simple reaction time test (RTs) was performed at baseline and after the training period. The results showed that the chosen physical training program resulted in a significant improvement in TRs with a significant reduction in the TM of the GE compared to the GC. However, the average performance of the groups did not show a significant difference before and after the training period.
