Yield of T. stans floweretanolic extract was found to be 4.85%. The extract was screened qualitatively for phytochemicals. The results ofthe preliminary phytochemical screening revealed the presence terpenoids, alkaloids, cardiac glycosides, tannins, phenols, flavonoids and steroids. Yield of T. stans flower aqueous extract was found to be 3.5%. The extract was screened qualitatively for phytochemicals. The results ofthe preliminary phytochemical screening revealed the presence saponins, phenols,protens. The identification of phytoconstituents present in the aqueous and ethanolic was carried out by U.V, I.R, HPLC analysis.The identification techniques confirmed the presence of important phytochemical compounds like flavoinds, phenols.etc in both extracts ethanolic showing the presence of major phytocompounds.
