Since the inception of the Fine-Structure Constant ( ), for the last hundred years, scientists have been trying to explain its origin using other mathematical constants, as it is considered as one of the fundamental constants of nature as well as it is dimensionless. The value is very nearly equal to 1/(137.036) and for reasons of convenience, the reciprocal value of the fine-structure constant is often specified. The 2018 CODATA recommended value is given by -1 = 137.035999084 [1].
