God spoke to Jonathan Brinton. Several times.
In the earliest conversation, God revealed to Jonathan the meaning of the Lord's Prayer among other things. Jonathan felt the need to spread the word of his vision. When local citizens would not pay attention to him, he moved to the Holy Lands and built an inn. While there he disappeared mysteriously.
His son, Frank visited his father and collected souvenirs and took magic lantern slides. When he returned to the United States, he presented programs about the Holy Lands wearing native costumes and accompanied by the magic lantern slides.
Frank's wife Indiana was thirty years younger. She was noted for her beauty and was notorious for being a "naturalist.
Both Frank and Indiana invested wisely in land speculation. At her death, the Brinton Trust was formed. It still provides thousands of dollars to non-profit organizations each year.
