Designed to facilitate language development in children aged five and under, the read-aloud text encourages kids to associate the lively illustrations with foundational words and concepts. This book is written especially for Indigenous and bilingual children who are learning how to communicate. This book displays multiple components of language that can be applied to the child's own language as well as English.

About the author

Kaley Hodgson has been a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for over ten years. She is a member of the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Manitoba. Kaley was one of the first SLPs in Southwestern Manitoba to assist in programming specifically for Indigenous families under the Jordan's Principle Program in 2017. Recognizing a need for educational materials that Indigenous children could relate to, Kaley wrote this book for her clients, their families, and other SLP professionals.
