Around the world, unwanted pregnancies are common, and more than half of these pregnancies end in induced abortion, or voluntary termination of pregnancy. While abortion is more common in some countries than in others, there is no country where it does not occur.Although abortion is forbidden by culture, religion and justice, it is still practiced and under very bad conditions in order to avoid stigma in the community, This myth can be broken not only by a good sensitization (social contract) with the population but also by popularizing the Maputo protocol and by integrating in the primary health care the package of medicalized or safe abortion by training all the staff and by equipping the concerned structures with safe abortion input without forgetting the post-abortion contraception.
