About the author

Jana Heidersdorf is a fantasy and horror illustrator located in Berlin, Germany. She has no life skills apart from drawing trees and birds and everything beautifully creepy. Her ethereal, nature-inspired compositions can be primarily found on and in books, comics, and the internet, but really she can be hired for anything that needs a gentle haunting. Her clients include Little Brown Young Readers, Penguin Random House, Sourcebooks, and DC Comics.

Dr. Cecilia Lillefisk is most definitely a real person. She simply detests the internet and prefers her privacy. She is also a very busy sirenologist out in the world researching mermaids and writing her numerous bestselling books. In fact, they are so bestselling that copies are always out of stock. Some of her most popular titles include The Curious Case of the Pickled MermaidMast-bound—Oddysseus: Advice for the Modern Man, and of course, Pool Sharing—A personal account of Interspecies Relationships.
