Créé par la Princesse Greta Sturdza il y a cinquante ans, le Vasterival est réputé dans le monde entier pour ses collections de plantes acidophiles harmonieusement disposées dans un vallon de près de 12 hectares. Created by Princess Greta Sturdza over the course of 50 years, le Vasterival is famed throughout the world for its collections of acid-loving plants, laid out harmoniously in a valley that covers around 12 hectares (30 acres). Season follows season, bringing spectacular waves of blossom, the colourful patterns of bark, branches and tree trunks, an abundance of attractive evergreen foliage and brilliant autumn colours, as well as amazing drifts of bulbs, ground-cover plants and ferns. The dream of a beautiful « all-year-round garden » is brought to life.
