About the author

Salwah is a children’s book author, having previously self published two books, one being 'Alif Baa Ta' - an Arabic alphabet activity book. An avid bookworm from a young age: passionate about reading as a child; interested in writing as an adult - to inspire other young bookworms. She lives in Cape Town with her husband, four children (and a tuxedo cat called Pepper) . Having children of her own inspired her to look into the world of Islamic books/writing as a means to help her children build a good Islamic identity. She is a qualified City Planner and has also studied Creative Writing and Editing. She also sells her own small range of children’s Islamic educational jigsaw puzzles.
