About the Author
About the author
Psych2Go found its humble beginnings from the mind of a student of psychology at the University of British Columbia. The organization has grown to be a standout psychology and mental health informer, running an online magazine and YouTube channel with over 9 million subscribers. Psych2Go's content is characterized by a focus on education regarding various topics such as wellbeing and related phenomena, as well as a trademark animatic-style visual presentation format. Outside of YouTube, Psych2Go is actively informing on curious topics within psychology to over 800,000 followers across multiple social media platforms. With an ever forward-moving presence in the world of mental health awareness through international expansions and key partnerships, Psych2Go aims to create a healthier world day by day.
Thomas Chaeyoon Kang is a creative director for the mental health organization Psych2Go, where he mentors and connects artists across the globe, as well as facilitates collaborations with mental health advocate organizations such as the Black Dog Institute in Sydney, Australia. In his hometown of Toronto, Canada, he also actively participates in the Korean-Canadian volunteer community, enjoying working with and for youth and peers alike. Thomas was asked to write an author bio, but was hesitant to do so due to not only not considering himself an "author," but as well not feeling alive enough inside to consider the term "bio" applicable to his metaphysical situation. He's okay though, don't worry.

Marketing plan
- How I will leverage my platform (specific ideas):
- Community posts and promotional messages at the end of videos (commissioning one of the best animators to create a reusable segment of animation to append to videos during the promotion period), posted on the YouTube channel of 9 million+ subscribers
- They have merch that includes stickers and the like that can be potential preorder bonuses
- They have planned a line of self-care packages and merchandise bundles that can include the book
- Potentially a mini-documentary vlog series on the development of the book
- Psych2Go can promote on our community Discord, which is verified and has many moderators and systems in place to ensure smooth process
- They have a very engaged and altruistic community who will not have a problem leaving good reviews of our book. We have many audience members who are very grateful for our content and love to communicate with us because of our personal vibe despite being a very large channel.
- Fellow influencers who will provide endorsements and help support the book:
- They have a sub-channel called Sketch2Go that has 20k+ subscribers
- Black Dog Institute is a leading research institute that the project manager has deep connections with.
- Memberships / organizations who might support the book or order in bulk:
- School boards, book fairs (e.g. Scholastic book catalogs/book fairs)
