Praktisch-theologische Perspektiven auf die evangelische Kirche sind an der Wahrnehmung der Empirie kirchlichen und religiösen Lebens orientiert. Wie stellt sich die Situation dar: in Ost und West, Stadt und Land, in Deutschland und der Schweiz? Welche Veränderungen sind als Herausforderungen an kirchliches Handeln wahrzunehmen? Welche Steuerungsmöglichkeiten hat die Organisation Kirche und an welchen theologischen Leitbildern orientiert sie sich? Welche Wechselwirkungen zwischen gesellschaftlichen Veränderungen und dem Selbstverständnis der Institution lassen sich beschreiben?
Dieser Band dokumentiert die Bestandsaufnahme und Diskussion zur aktuellen Kirchentheorie im Rahmen der Tagung der Fachgruppe Praktische Theologie vom 18.-20. September 2013 in Berlin. Neben aktuellen Forschungsprojekten werden zentrale Leitbegriffe der Kirchentheorie wie die 'Kommunikation des Evangeliums' diskutiert und weiter entwickelt.

Practical theological perspectives on the Protestant church are oriented on the recognition of the empirical religious life of the church. What is the situation: in the East and in the West, in urban and in rural areas, in Germany and in Switzerland? What are the challenges the church is faced with? Which options of control are there for the church as an organisation and what are the theological overall concepts? Which interactions exist between social change and the self-image of the institution?
This volume presents an overview and documents the discussions on the current church theory at the meeting of the professional group "Practical Theology" in Berlin in 2013.
