About the author

Lt. (Retired) Timothy Cotton is a 34 year police officer/detective. He has always been drawn to writing about the people he has met along the way. Dealing with the standard issue ne'er-do-wells as a patrol officer, homicide detective, polygraph examiner, and later as the lieutenant in charge of the criminal investigation division provides an interesting point of view about the folks he met along the way. More often he writes about the regular folks he encounters in his travels around his beloved home state of Maine. Cotton has been a regular guest on Mike Rowe's podcast "The Way I Heard It," NPR's Morning Edition, Maine Public Radio, and featured in The Washington Post, People, Ad Age Magazine, Huffpost, and numerous television, radio and podcast interviews regarding his international social media following.
