The feeling of unrest in contemporaneity is located in the body in the form of stress, depressions, addictions, and complaints of the subject of the 21st century, according to Birman (2012). Thus, the creation of new social and affective bonds, as well as self-creation, are able to crystallize as a response to the state of malaise and emptiness. Indeed, polyamour can be seen as a space for new forms of subjectivation, it also embodies the "feminization of the world", an expression used by Sinatra in @s nov@s adit@s in order to explain the decline of the virile world and the weakening of a symbolic law, named by Jacques Lacan as the Name-of-the-Father. It is based on these preliminaries that the hypothesis of this study resides in the following statement: polyamory is a symptom of the weakening of the symbolic law, the Name-of-the-Father, and the purpose of this doctoral thesis is to understand polyamorous relationships as a new form of jouissance that rejects tradition and symptomatizes the fragility of patriarchy in the West.
