Three papers on different dimensions of the emigration process in Venezuela during the second decade of the 20th century and its treatment in Venezuela in the 21st century. In "Emigrating to get out of Poverty", through life stories, the motivations of these families from Spain, Portugal and Italy were investigated. In the second work, a theorization of the symbolic object with which the emigrant articulates the culture of the country of origin to that of the country of destination through the decoration of their houses, their clubs, networks, meals, devotions. Finally, the ideological discourse of the XXI century socialism regime, which excluded and disqualified European emigrants, is analyzed. In Venezuela, the direction of the migratory movement changed at the end of the third decade of the 21st century from being a receiving country to having 7.1 million Venezuelan emigrants. These reflections can help to understand the complexity of social processes and open up new research.
