Cryptococcosis is an opportunistic infection that occurs at an advanced stage ofimmunodepression. Our study carried out in the department of infectious and tropical diseases of the CHU of Treichville, aimed to show the interest of the lumbar puncture of discharge in the prognosis of CNM. It was cross-sectional with retrospective and prospective collection between January 2015 and January 2020. During this period, the prevalence of CNM was estimated at 1.98%.There was a female predominance; the M/F sex ratio was 0.69 and the mean age was 40.1 ±11 years with a median of 41.50 years and extremes of 15 and 64 years.Clinical symptoms were dominated by headache in 88.71%, meningeal syndrome in 53.23%, vomiting in 41.94%, behavioral disorders in 40.32% and fever in 27%.CNM was associated with other comorbidities such as pulmonary tuberculosis (37%), disseminated tuberculosis (23%), toxoplasmosis (15%), malaria (15%), purulent meningitis (6%) and renal failure (5%).
