The methodology had a mixed approach, describing the qualities of the owners of the recycling companies and the basic recyclers, and quantitatively establishing the population and sample applied to the basic recyclers, from whom data were obtained and processed in graphs and tables. The census technique was applied to the owners of recycling companies and using as an instrument a questionnaire that allowed obtaining information regarding the social, economic and environmental variables, and with the financial statements requested, information was obtained on the structure and financial indexes of the recycling companies, which made possible the horizontal, vertical and financial index analysis. Another technique used was the survey applied to basic recyclers through a structured questionnaire that made it possible to generate socioeconomic information.
