Adverse and unwanted effects of medicinal drugs is a common problem nowadays. So, it is necessary to find natural, healthy alternatives to medicinal drugs. One such healthy option is Essential oils. As natural and effective Anti-bacterial, essential oils have been increasingly investigated to control food-borne pathogens and enhance food safety as well as dietary and medicinal uses. It is usually difficult to achieve high Anti-bacterial effectiveness when directly incorporating Essential oils in food systems due to their low water solubility. Thus, a variety of Essential oil delivery systems have been developed. One of them is Nano emulsions. Nano-emulsions have shown many benefits to encapsulate Essential oils.I started this project on Anti-bacterial activity of Essential oils using natural emulsifiers.
