Teleological Explanations in Teaching Evolution investigates, discusses, and proposes thinking about the use of teleology and its implications for the teaching and training of science and biology teachers. Focuses on how Biology teachers use teleological arguments in developing explanations of evolution themes in Biology teaching. It problematizes the solutions presented by teachers to the various teaching situations in which teleological thinking presents itself in the everyday classroom. The theoretical basis for studying teleological thinking in school articulates the philosophical meanings that teleology historically assumes in Biological Sciences with the specific forms of knowledge that circulate in school, the school knowledge.
