The theory of critical discourse analysis establishes a mental model; with a cognitive basis that facilitates the subjective interpretation of communicative situations, this approach allows the implementation of contextual models of discourse to delve from the social categories and the fundamental principles of thought of the Socratic minor cynic school, the constitution of the cynical parresiastic discourse. By carrying out this descriptive-explanatory analysis, the aim of this book is to suggest that the application or implementation of cynical parresia can be a reference for the theory of critical discourse analysis, which could be considered as a line of research in social communication or contribute through the application of the fundamental principles of cynicism to the theorization of parresiastic discourse from a philosophical-scientific study.
