In a world growing more and more stressful by the minute, Lama Tsomo offers us Ancient Wisdom for Our Times, time-tested, lab-tested, transformational tools for getting underneath our everyday worries and creating richer and more fulfilling lives.

This series takes readers on a journey, exploring time-honored practices from one of the oldest lineages of Tibetan Buddhism with an American lama as their guide. Well-positioned to bring ancient methods to the modern world, Lama Tsomo gifts readers tangible ways to cultivate joy, compassion, focus, and deep fulfillment in everyday life.
This three volume set provides readers with context, stories, inspiration, and meditation practices to start and sustain a lasting meditation practice.

Why Bother? An Introduction
Lama Tsomo sets the foundation for understanding the Tibetan Buddhist path, illuminating the essential context needed to benefit most from our time in practice. Progressing through the Buddha’s story and her teacher’s, Gochen Tulku Sangak* Rinpoche, Lama Tsomo shares fascinating and inspiring stories that set the stage for the practices to come in later volumes. With this fresh perspective, we wake up to an expanded awareness of ourselves, the path, and what it means for our work in the world.

Wisdom & Compassion (Starting with Yourself)
This volume provides an approachable progression through three foundational practices that work in complementary ways to promote happiness and well-being. These Vajrayana meditation practices include Tonglen, Shamata, and Cleansing the Stale Winds.

Deepening Wisdom, Deepening Connection
The tide of modern life is sweeping us further into isolation—away from each other, from the world, and from ourselves. To turn this tide, Lama Tsomo created this volume to actively engage readers, expanding our understanding and guiding our practice to build our capacity for Loving Kindness, Sympathetic Joy, Compassion, and Equanimity.
Together this collection of ancient wisdom and insight sets readers on a journey worth taking.
