About the author










Dr. Mari Eskola, PhD, Senior Regulatory Affairs Expert, Medfiles Ltd. Mari obtained her PhD degree in food science from the University of Helsinki, Finland. She has 25 years of international expertise in food and feed chemical safety and research from the European Union and European national organisations and industry. She worked for 10 years in Italy at the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), on developing risk assessments of contaminants in foods and feeds, where she was also an acting and deputy head of the EFSA Contaminants Unit. Currently, she is Senior Regulatory Affairs Expert at Medfiles Ltd, Finland, where she provides food and feed businesses with food and feed regulatory consultancy advice.
