Description

Running is the simplest of the basic sports. Efficient running requires coordination, strength, endurance and mobility. In daily practice, however, the idea that "more is better" is more common at all levels than an understanding of optimal training methods. This book presents the basics of the cardio-vascular system, energy preparation, and the biomechanical aspects of running in a way that is easy to understand. Advice on clothes, running in different weather conditions and at various times of the day, as well as ideas for compensation exercises, nutrition, injury prevention, etc. complete the contents of this book.
