This book is the story of the lives of these four Haitian priests: Rodrigue Auguste, Karl Lévêque, Jean Pierre-Louis and Eddy Julien. Each of them has created a different, rich and vital relationship in their environment. Pierre Smith, a dentist living in Montreal and Miami, has had a long life with them and a constant friendship. He undertakes to recount the great plans accomplished by these exceptional men, prodigies not by their genius, but by their concern to give others a reason to live, to hope, by their personal message. They had a powerful impact on their time. Their work as committed priests remains a formidable reality. It deals with their way of exercising their religious vocation, the power of the will, the rights of the person and even their tricks and manipulations. A comprehensive, symbolic and powerful tribute in the hope of passing on their beautiful and tumultuous history to future generations.
