The objective of this study is to evaluate the performance of the logistics system for managing essential generic medicines in the Lokossa-Athieme health zone in 2017. It is a descriptive and evaluative cross-sectional study that focused on one dispatching depot, one zone hospital, and ten district health centers. The non-probability method with exhaustive choice was used for drug disposal depots, reasoned choice for the coordinator, drug management managers, essential drug management supports, choice by convenience for the clerk and users. An interview guide, a questionnaire, a data collection form and an observation grid were used as tools to collect data on the structure, process and results of the logistics management system for generic essential medicines in the Lokossa-Athieme health zone. The decision criteria applied are: "Unsatisfactory", "acceptable" or "satisfactory", if the score obtained is respectively less than 80%, between 80 and 90% or greater than 90% of the expected score.
